Sue Hennessy, RN

Sue Hennessy, RN

Sue Hennessy, RN brings valuable years of experience in both nursing and medical administration to her multiple roles at Light Facial Plastic Surgery. She graduated from nursing school in 1984 from Shenandoah University and Conservatory of Music. People might be surprised to learn that Sue’s skills at the piano and flute earned her a scholarship that helped her achieve her goal of becoming a nurse. However, no one who knows her would be surprised that she also won the teen title of Miss Congeniality in her home state of Virginia!

Sue established herself as an asset to our community during her 26 years in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, eventually becoming the director of Women and Children’s Services at the Pavilion for Women and Decatur Morgan Hospital. In 2011, Sue changed course to become the practice manager for Decatur ENT and Light Facial Plastic Surgery. Fortunately, Sue’s background and lively personality are the perfect blend to handle a day-to-day schedule that involves an ever-changing mix of administrative, management, and patient care duties.

Recently, Sue has added coordinating the BioTE hormone balancing therapy to her busy schedule. She spends quality time with patients during their initial consult, treatments, and follow-up appointments, making sure that their therapy is customized and effective. Patients enjoy getting to know Sue throughout the process and appreciate her concern for their comfort and privacy.

Lauren Sharp, RN

Lauren Sharp, RN

Lauren Sharp, RN brings experience and a kind, upbeat spirit that is appreciated by everyone who meets her. She earned her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Degree in December of 2017. While she studied to become a nurse, she also worked as a nursing assistant at Decatur Morgan Hospital. As soon as she completed her training, the hospital hired Lauren in her new capacity as a registered nurse to care for patients on its medical surgical floor. There she gained a wide range of experience. A few of her responsibilities included balancing the needs of multiple patients, delivering medications, providing post-operative care, and attending to wound care. In the summer of 2020, she joined Light Facial Plastic Surgery as a laser and cosmetic nurse. Lauren is certified to operate the CoolSculpting platform and the personal rejuvenation system for women called Votiva. She also assists Dr. Light during treatments which range from Botox and filler injections to more involved, in-office treatments such as FaceTite and BodyTite.

Lauren knew from a young age that nursing was her ideal career. She enjoys caring for people and encouraging them through life’s medical challenges. The intensity of Lauren’s years working in the hospital sharpened her ability to learn quickly and stay focused for long hours. Now she is ready to appreciate the interpersonal and relationship-building experiences that naturally occur in the friendly and pleasant environment of the Light Facial Plastic Surgery office. Her presence is kind and comforting and will be an asset to staff and patients alike.

Bridget Taylor, RN

Bridget Taylor, RN

Bridget Taylor, RN is the newest staff member at Light Facial Plastic Surgery. With nursing experience since 2015 in multiple areas such as emergency medicine, intensive care and cardiovascular surgery, she adds quality proficiency to our team. Her role at LFPS includes assisting Dr. Light with Botox and filler injections, patient education during the consultation process, surgery preparation, post surgical care and our hormone replacement therapy program. LFPS is in the early stages of research and development of a “wellness” dimension (weight loss, compounded injectables, IV therapies and more) and this expansion is an area of interest for Bridget. We think you’ll notice that Bridget’s bright personality and readiness to serve are a seamless fit with the LFPS favorites you already know and love. At your next appointment, join us in welcoming Bridget Taylor to the office.
